Baby Time

While we were in Birmingham this past weekend we had a baby shower for my good friend Farris and her husband Jason. There little baby girl will hopefully be here right after the first of the year. They got lots of nice gifts and the party turned out great. It was so good to see everyone.

We have all been best friends since elementary school

Opening gifts

Mom made another beautiful and yummy cake!

Here is the happy couple! (You can't even tell she is over 8 months pregnant)

Christmas at Mimi and Gregpa's

This year we are having our very first Christmas at home. We planned our Christmas with Josh's family for last weekend so that we could still see everyone. Braylen and Sarah were so excited that they were getting to open presents early. They got so many good surprises and as always had so much fun with Mimi, Gregpa, Jacob and Joy. Here are just a few pictures from our early Christmas.

What's new with us?

I know it has been what a month since my last post. Sorry!!! I can't say we have been doing much exciting, but I feel like we have been so busy. I am just going to fill you in on some of the sweet (cute) things these kiddos have been doing.

1. Sarah has been trying to talk so much lately. She points at the Christmas tree and says Christmas tree and shakes her head and says no touch!!! It is adorable...
2. Braylen just this week has not "shoo-weed" in a diaper since Tuesday. Last night he even asked to go to the potty after we had put his bedtime diaper on him. This is huge....we have been waiting on this since August!!
3. We have Gordy (our elf) at our house now and the kiddos love looking for him every morning when they wake up.
4. Braylen is so excited that Santa is coming for Jesus' birthday and is going to bring him Thomas toys.
5. This week Braylen has once again had a fever virus. I think we get it about 2-3 times a year. He has no symptoms just a fever whenever the Motrin wears off and it lasts for about 3 days.
6. Sarah is going through EVERYTHING!!!! Any cabinet, drawer or whatever she takes everything out and then she moves on to something else. She loves it!!!
7. Braylen is starting to eat a little better. We are threatening him, but hey whatever works, right?!?
8. Braylen is scared to DEATH of the shower. Yes the shower! I don't know why, but he hates it. I know it is awful but nothing else seems to work for punishment so what else do we say but "I'll put you in the shower" It works!!! That is how he started "shoo-weeing" in the potty. That is how we get him to eat his veggies.

This weekend we are going to Birmingham for Christmas with the Mims!! I am sure I will have lots of pictures to post on Monday.

Have a good weekend!!

A Day of Fun

These pictures were actually taken earlier this week but I am just now posting them. We had so much fun playing at home ALL DAY LONG!!! We have always known that Braylen wasn't thrilled doing the creative things like coloring. What we didn't know was how much he LOVED water colors. He sat at the kitchen table and painted for a full hour this week. He even took his work and put it up on the refrigerator. Sarah loves it too she is just still a little young to really get to do it.
*The last picture is them watching Sesame Street together. (all new episodes started this week...yay!!!)

Tea Time

Today Braylen is at school so Sarah could play without having her brother take things from her. So she had the best time having a tea party with her Minnie. Isn't it adorable!!! It is crazy to me that she is already old enough to play pretend and know how to do so many different things.

Baseball

Thank goodness for all this beautiful weather because we can't get enough baseball. Our good friend Franklin gave Braylen a new t-ball set for his birthday. I guess that is what has triggered it but Braylen LOVES it. I have to say he is pretty good with the hitting and the pitching.

Sarah is really enjoying running after all the balls!

I think we might have a star on our hands!!

Trick or Treat

We had so much fun tonight trick or treating. This was Bray's first year to actually have fun getting candy. He said trick or treat and thank you to everyone and every now and then he would throw in a roll tide. Sarah was amazed that everyone was giving her candy. She wanted to eat it THEN. We tried to help her and carry her bucket of candy but she would pitch the biggest fit if we took it from her. When we came inside she was ready to dig in!!! Braylen didn't have a problem eating his candy either. Happy Halloween!!!

Pumpkin Fest

This morning we went to Pumpkin Fest with Mimi and Gregpa. The kiddos got dressed up in their costumes and had a blast with all the fun games and yummy treats they had. I have posted LOTS of pictures on here so enjoy!!
We saw our good friends at Pumpkin Fest too

Jumping....

I must say that Braylen is amazing at throwing the football for a 3 year old

Sarah even rode a pony!!

She was so excited and made all kinds of cute faces!!

Look at that sweet face!

Fall Party

On Thursday Braylen had his Fall Party at school. Sarah and I went to celebrate with him. He was so surprised to see us at HIS school. Sarah joined in and had cupcakes with them.

Braylen and Sarah enjoying their snacks and cupcakes

This was when we first got there and Braylen didn't know we were there. They were listening to his teacher read a story.

You should have seen this pumpkin when he was finished. I bet it still isn't dry!

He was so happy to have Sarah come to see him at school
