Birmingham Zoo

We love going to the Birmingham Zoo!!! Last Friday we took Braylen and Sarah and my sweet friend Kristen met us there. It was so good to get to spend some time with her since we don't get to see her that much. Braylen had a blast!! We just let him tell us where to go. He would say "This way! This way!" We looked at all the animals, rode the train then had a picnic lunch and let Braylen play in the water. He loved it! I think we might have to take him every time we visit Mimi and Gregpa.

*Sarah has now taken 5 steps at one time!!! I think she will be walking REALLY soon!!!!

On Thursday we went to a church close by that was showing the movie CARS. I haven't ever taken Braylen to a movie so I was not sure how he would do. But he loved it! Maybe it was the popcorn, juice box, Chick-fil-A nuggets, chips, cookies and crackers. Not really sure?!?!?! We stayed the whole movie and then he lost it on the way home. He didn't want to leave. We had a great time and will be trying more movies soon!

What's been going on...

I know that I have been an awful blogger the past couple of months. It has been crazy around here. I have got to get some pictures downloaded to the computer and I promise I will have a better blog. I have a few updates.....
*Sarah has gotten another tooth (that makes 5)!!
*She is taking 3 steps at a time now!! I can't believe it!
*Braylen slept in his bed ALL NIGHT LONG last night!!!! This is huge because he slept with us then we got him to fall asleep in his bed, but he would always come to our room around 12 or so.
*We are working on Sarah's birthday party! I still can't believe that in less than 2 weeks she will be 1!
*I have started a new hobby! (kind of) I have made curtains for our living room and kitchen! I will put up pictures of them soon. They definitely aren't perfect but they do their job.
*I have been cleaning out EVERYTHING!!!! Closets, garage, drawers, pantry, etc. I feel so much better!

I think that is about all that is going on with us right now! We are loving this cool weather and trying to spend as much time as possible playing outside.

Braylen and Sarah's first baseball game

We decided that it might be time for Braylen to go to his very first baseball game. We went last Tuesday to watch the Nashville Sounds play ball. He was so excited before we went!! He did like it a lot at first but then didn't understand why he couldn't go out on the field and play with them. Sarah really enjoyed all the yummy food!!!!

Aunt Caroline came to visit!

Aunt Caroline came to visit last week and we did lots of exciting things. We went to jump zone on Monday and Braylen is really starting to really get good at playing on all those things. We went to the park and had a picnic. While at the park Braylen saw the baseball fields. So we just had to let him go check it out!!
Thank you Caroline for coming to visit. You were so much help and we miss you already!!! Love you!

July 4th at the Lake

We had a blast at the lake for the 4th! Lots of fun and yummy food!!! Enjoy the pictures...

It's been a while....

I have several updates!!
1. Mom is starting to feel a little better. Since I last posted she has had surgery (2 plates and a screw-yuck), got her cast, she came home, got the cast taken off, and she found out that it was infected. She went back to the dr. yesterday and he said the infection was looking better so they put her in a boot. She started hurting really bad last night and this morning because the boot was rubbing her incisions. So she had to go back to the dr. today and they put the cast back on. We hope that this is it for a week. Me, Braylen and Sarah have been here since she came home helping but we have to leave today.

2. Braylen and Sarah spent a few days at Mimi & Gregpa's house while I helped mom with her cakes. They had a blast!!! I think they were busy the whole time playing. Aunt Joy and Uncle were there too!! I brought them to Fayette on Thursday of last week to help nana. Braylen says "Nana hurt her toe!" It is so cute!! Josh came last weekend to visit. We have missed him so much!! Braylen talked to him on the phone the other night for 10 min. That is a record since he is usually too busy to talk on the phone. We have be able to spend time with Mama Faye and Ava Grace since we have been here. We are going to miss everyone when we leave this afternoon!!

3. This morning I loaded the kiddos up and dropped Sarah off with Aunt Nikki and Ava Grace so that I could take Braylen to see the Fire Trucks!!! We were so excited!! Until...we drove up! Braylen hated it!!! He cried and was actually shaking!!! So no pictures this time. We will try again in a couple of months.

4. We leave today to head to Birmingham and meet daddy at Mimi & Gregpa's house. We will finally get to spend some time at the lake!! So I am sure we will have plenty of pictures to post when we get home Sunday.

5. Sunday on our way home we are going to pick up my sister Caroline. We haven't seen her in a while so we are all excited. She is staying until Friday. Maybe the weather will be pretty and we can do lots of fun things outside.

6. I am waiting on a phone call from my good friend Razel because she finds out if she is having a boy or a girl today!!!

7. My good high school friend Farris is expecting her first baby!!!! I am so excited for her and Jason!! She is 12 weeks and due in January!! I can't wait to meet that beautiful baby!
